Way of Nature Programmes
WITH JOHN P. MILTON, FOUNDER WAY OF NATURE
Organisations or Specific Projects
When a group of people is aligned around a specific purpose, our signature Partnering with Nature program is ideal. A two-day workshop that focuses on deepening your connection to the natural environment is integral to this programme.
It may be beneficial to precede the two-day workshop with a Discovery session.
Follow up sessions are offered to allow for integration and co-creation.
This is customised to support specific needs and we find a suitable location near you.
The Way of Nature New Zealand is part of the global Way of Nature organisation. The Way of Nature offers programmes that connect people with outer nature and their own inner nature, working with principles such as relaxation, presence, cultivating energy and opening the heart. As a Way of Nature Student for over 20 years and a trained WoN guide, I’m available for programmes throughout New Zealand, on request.

An 8 day Nature Quest
Partnering with Nature: Working as one to rise to the challenges of our times, in our personal and our professional roles.
A theme coming through in my conversations with those in organisations focused on environmental impact, or “Doing Good in the World” is that motivation for impact often stems from fear or guilt and occasionally even greed. My concern that these motivators are not enduring. Once the fear or guilt subsides, or the money moves on, so do we. However, when Love is the motivator, it is enduring. As a daughter, wife, mother and friend, I know the lengths I will go to care for and protect those I love. That love exists due to an intimate knowledge and the uniqueness of each of those specific relationships
The same goes for Nature and our environment. It consists of very individual and specific beings, each with their own unique needs. It’s up to us to get to know them. This is not a new concept, as many of our iwi and other indigenous friends would agree. We can all have this deep connection with the land and all the beings in and around it. It is a privilege, a responsibility and an utter necessity to include nature as a stakeholder.
I invite you to take responsibility to develop that intimate relationship with each and every aspect of the environment that our work impacts, to ask and to listen to what is needed and to include this information in our planning and decisions.
The Partnering with Nature workshop has been designed to give you the experience of dropping into a deep connection with nature, to be able to ask and to listen to what is needed and to include this information in your service to the world. It is designed for the those who truly wish to make a difference in their work.

Overview
Way of Nature New Zealand is part of the global Way of Nature organisation.
The Way of Nature offers programs that connect people with outer nature, their own inner nature and their true nature, working with principles such as relaxation, presence, cultivating energy and opening the heart. The Way of Nature principles and practices are core to the cultivation and maintenance of my own connection and I apply these daily in the way I work and my personal activities.
My own conscious journey started in 1996 when I met John P. Milton in Crestone, Colorado. I immediately knew I needed what he had to offer and soon I was on a Sacred Passage Retreat. This program is 11 days of which 7 days are spent alone in nature. This was my first encounter with the concept of “Presence” and a new awareness of how disconnected I was from my body.
My Way of Nature Story
MAIN BEACH – MOUNT MAUNGANUI
MANI – CONTEMPLATION
I returned to New Zealand in late 1996 and in parallel with developing my business career, I continued my personal development journey. I practised yoga and tai chi. I became a Reiki Master in 2006 and completed a Diploma in Facilitation in 2007. While living in Santa Monica2010 – 2014, I strengthened my mindfulness practises with the assistance of Insight LA and numerous readings and teachings from Jon Kabbat Zin, Dan Siegel and Jack Kornfield.
John P. Milton continues to be my primary spiritual teacher. I hosted him in New Zealand in 2000/2001, I’ve participated in several more retreats, including Advanced Awareness Training in 2013 and the Nature Guide Training in 2015, along with Duncan. Our son Mani has also participated in programs with John since 2012.
In September 2015 I undertook the 28 Day AllOne solo time in the Sangre de Christemountains of Southern Colorado. I refer to this experience as the Unfolding of the many Aspects of my Being. It was a true gift being able to do this and I am eternally grateful to my husband and son for their support in this. I am currently in year 2 of John’s 3 year Source Awareness program.
My husband, Duncan, has also done a Sacred Passage Retreat and the Guide Training programme. We founded The Way of Nature New Zealand in 2014 to educate and facilitate the healing and awareness available to us all through developing a strong relationship to Source.
